January 2011- We will be opening a new school in Ballymena.  Fridays at the North Business centre. 4:30-7:30pm 

October 2010 Courtney McCourt (Antrim) and Stefan Ross (Ballyearl) were successful in their auditions for The Culture Club BBC Northern Ireland and start filming in February.  

June 2010  a number of our students have been busy auditioning for various BBC programmes. Good luck to all.  Karen

Chantelle McAteer was placed 8th in the finals of Citybeat. Well done.

 

June 09 - A photoshoot for VQ day at City Hall. Many of the students participated.

Alan MacDonald and Maria Mulholland WON The Most Stylish Couple award.

Starburst Theatre School has been asked by Maghaberry Prison to perform a pantomine in December 2009. Our own version of 'Aladdin' will also be open to the public on Friday 18th December at All Saints Hall, Antrim. All Welcome.

10th October Starburst theatre School and Karen reached the final three for the BT Woman of the Year in the Arts with the 'Telegraph'.

 

 

August/ September 2008 Cliodhna McCorley was invited to the quarter-finals of BBC 2's 'The Speaker' were she is now in the final. 'The Speaker' was broadcast in April 2009.

July/ August 2008 Rebecca Elliott, Susie Elliott, Maria Mulholland, Michael Mulholland, Adam Montgomery, Cliodhna McCorley all played 'extras' in 'Cherrybomb', a film staring James Nesbitt and Rupert Grint.  Alan MacDonald landed the role of 'Josef', the pool-attendant, in the film.

June 2008 Ballyearl 'Little Red Riding Hood. £194.20 was raised for 'Please Fix Sam'.

December 2007 Catherine Larmour (Lisburn), age 7, played one of the Munchkins in the Lyric production of 'The Wizard of Oz'.
Sarah Johnston (Antrim) landed the part of 'Wendy' in 'Peter Pan'

 

December 2007 Antrim 'Oliver'  raised £569.89 for Beechgrove School in Ballymena.

December 2007  Ballyearl 'Bugsy Malone' raised £330 for CLIC Sargent.

December 2007 'High School Musical'  (Lisburn) raised £428.87 for Make-A-Wish-Foundation.

 

October 2007 Aimee Coates (Antrim) the major role in an advert based on cyber bullying to be shown in various cinemas around the province.

 

September 2007 opened new school at Ballyearl, Newtownabbey.

June / July  2007 - 4 students were extras in the film‘City of Embers’ with Tom Hanks in Belfast.

10th May 2007- Karen won a Community Excellence Award for contributions to the arts in Antrim
